Article about Educational Comic’s and how they are “Innovative Teaching Tools”
The article below discusses how educational comics are innovative tools that utilize visual storytelling to portray a wide variety of topics. Educational comics are used in professional and educational settings. Comics allow a unique, fun way to learn about perplexing topics. They have been used for centuries and were used even during World War II to improve memory and understanding of the given topics. This is an example of how valuable they are in conveying important information in a clear, visual format that is easy to understand. Comics work well because readers are engaged by the use of graphics and consequential order. It allows readers to connect story components and understand topics through imagery and context. Many people are visual learners, so it helps support most people’s comprehension of the topics. For my own comic, I want to keep this in mind by focusing on visual clarity and clear, simple sentences to make my comic easy to grasp for all audiences.
For my educational comic I am going to be focusing on the Power of Habits. Given my psychology and business background I am passionate about making positive impacts on people’s lives. I want to show people how to change habits in your life in a simple, easy and enjoyable read. There will be more details in my next post but just wanted to post this here even though I messaged this in the chat a while back.
